Dr. Tan graduated with M.B.B.S. from the University of Sydney. She completed her training in Internal Medicine, General Neurology and Neurophysiology in Sydney. She then embarked on a two-and–a-half year clinical and research fellowship between 2010-2012, in Neuroimmunology and neurological infectious diseases at the prestigious Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, USA. Johns Hopkins is the world's leading medical research hospital. She sub-specialises in neuro-immunological conditions including multiple sclerosis, transverse myelitis, neurosarcoidosis and other neuro-immunological disorders. Her other clinical and research interests include neuro-ophthalmology, neuro-otology, as well as HIV-neurology and opportunistic CNS infections.
After completion of her Fellowship, Dr. Tan returned in October 2012 and started as a consultant neurologist and a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Medicine and Health Sciences at the Macquarie University Hospital. She has been appointed as a consultant neurologist at the Sutherland Hospital since August 2016. She now runs a private neurology practice in Miranda, offering a comprehensive neurology and neurophysiology service.
She has published over 20 academic papers of her original research in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Tan received her Master of Public Health from the Johns Hopkins University. She has an interest in global health and social determinants of health. Her other passion is Bioethics, and she has studied at the Berman Institute of Bioethics, the Johns Hopkins University, as well as the Center of Neuroethics, Oxford University, UK.
Dr Tan is a consultant neurologist at the Sutherland Hospital., and a Conjoint Senior Lecture with University of NSW.
Dr Tan is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.

Dr Justine Wang is an experienced Consultant Neurologist. She graduated her Medical Degree with Honours from the University of NSW. She is a Fellow with the Australasian College of Physicians and Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists. Dr Wang completed Neurology Specialty training at St George and Prince of Wales Hospitals, with special interests in General Neurology, Stroke and Headaches. She went on to complete a Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship at Prince of Wales Hospital, where she has been well trained in all aspects of Clinical Neurophysiology, including nerve conduction studies, electromyography (EMG), repetitive nerve stimulation, single fibre EMG, and electroencephalography (EEG).
Dr Wang was awarded in 2014 the prestigious Overseas Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists, to train at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, in Queen Square London UK. She gained experience in neuroinflammation, multiple sclerosis, neuro-ophthalmology, and autonomic disorders. She stayed on to be the Senior Clinical Neuromuscular Fellow. Dr Wang has special interest in Neuromuscularconditions, after training with world experts in hereditary and inflammatory neuropathies, peripheral neuropathies related to diabetes, statin and inflammatory myopathy, hereditary myopathies, myasthenia gravis, and motor neurone disease. She is also dedicated to seeing patients with a broad range of neurological conditions.
Dr Wang is appointed Conjoint Lecturer with University of NSW. She has published papers in renowned peer-reviewed Journals.
Dr Wang is a Staff Specialist at St George Public Hospital, where she runs the Muscle and Nerve Clinic, VMO at St George Private Hospital, and HMO at Prince of Wales Public Hospital, where she conducts the Nerve and Muscle Clinic. Dr Wang is also fluent in Mandarin.

Dr Yin is a general neurologist with a special interest in Movement Disorders. She grew up in the Shire, attended St George Girls’ High School before going on to tertiary education at the University of Sydney, studying combined degrees in Bachelor of Medical Science, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, graduating with Honours. She completed majority of her training at Westmead and Concord Hospitals. She did a Movement Disorders fellowship under the mentorship of Professor Victor Fung, gaining strong clinical and research experience in Parkinson’s Disease (including advanced therapies such as Duodopa intestinal gel infusion and Deep Brain Stimulation), Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus, Huntington’s Disease, Dystonia, Gait disorders, Tremor, and Botulinum toxin injections (Botox).
She speaks English, Mandarin, and Shanghainese.
Dr Yin is a general neurologist with sub-specialty specialisation in-
Movement Disorders including Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus, Huntington’s Disease, Cervical Dystonia, generalised dystonia, gait disorders, and tremor syndromes.
Parkinson’s disease including managing Duodopa (levodopa intestinal gel infusion) therapy, and Deep Brain Stimulation surgery.
Botulinum Toxin injection therapy for PBS indications of cervical dystonia/ spasmodic torticollis, chronic headaches/ migraines, hyperhidrosis, blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm, and post-stroke spasticity. Strokes, Seizure disorders/ Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Myasthenia Gravis, vertigo, headaches, and other general neurological disorders.
She has public appointments at Sutherland Hospital and Bankstown Hospital as a VMO Neurologist.
Dr Richard (Yitong) Shao is a neurologist and neurophysiologist. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Melbourne and undertook specialist Neurology training at multiple tertiary hospitals including Westmead Hospital, Liverpool Hospital in Sydney and Western Health in Melbourne.
Dr Shao completed subspecialty fellowships in neurophysiology, neuroimmunology, and movement disorders. He has a particular expertise in the management of neuromuscular conditions, multiple sclerosis and stroke. His procedural skills include neurophysiological testing such as nerve conduction studies and needle electromyography, as well as therapeutic interventions including botulinum toxin injections and nerve blocks. He is also proficient in managing a broad range of neurological conditions.
Dr Shao is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists (ANZAN). He is a Conjoint Lecturer with the University of Sydney and is actively involved in medical student education. He also serves as an Honorary Research Fellow at Westmead Hospital, where he is engaged in ongoing research into amyloidosis-related neuropathy.
Dr Shao is a native speaker of Mandarin and offers consultations in both English and Chinese.
